# Why is verification necessary?

Verifying your campaign/organisation is crucial for several reasons:

1. Credibility and Trust: Verification reassures potential donors about the legitimacy and credibility of the campaign creator/organisation, fostering trust in your cause.
2. Platform Integrity: At BackaBuddy, ensuring the integrity of our platform is paramount. Verification is part of our commitment to safeguarding both our donors and campaigners.
3. Protection for Donors: By activating donation payouts only after verification, we uphold a standard that protects our valued donors’ contributions.

Please understand that our verification processes are in place to maintain trust and goodwill within our community. They are not a reflection on you or your cause but rather a necessary step towards ensuring transparency and reliability.

Should you have any concerns or queries regarding the verification process, [our support team is always available to assist you](https://www.backabuddy.co.za/home/links?tab=about&about_tab=second).
