If you donate on BackaBuddy, your bank app or statement may show Blue Gecko (Pty) Ltd as the payment reference.

Blue Gecko owns and operates the BackaBuddy crowdfunding platform, including the technology and payment systems that securely process donations.

Your donation is still 100% processed through BackaBuddy and goes directly to the campaign you selected.

Seeing “Blue Gecko” on your bank statement is normal and expected when donating through BackaBuddy.
